A Dialpad alternative you own outright.
Calling, routing, voicemail, transcription, the AI summaries your managers skim on Monday — packaged into tiers, so the one capability you need reliably sits one tier above the one you're on. We build the set you actually use as your own software, with the AI running on an API key in your name.
We've already replaced a $30,000-a-year sales dialer with a custom one the client owns. It shipped in weeks and outperformed the platform it replaced.
Two kinds of Dialpad alternative
The next tier, or the next vendor.
Both land in the same place: a bill that grows every time you hire, for software whose roadmap you don't get a vote on.
The one with your name on the repo.
Transcription and call summaries are the reason contact-center pricing climbed. They are also, right now, among the cheapest things to build — which is exactly why owning this became realistic in weeks rather than years.
The proof is a dialer, and it's in production
One client was spending $30,000 a year on their calling platform. We rebuilt it around how their reps actually worked — multi-line dialing, one-click voicemail drops, SMS with templates, automations and webhooks, and real-time analytics — and handed over the code.
That is the same machinery a contact center runs on: routing rules, queues, recordings, transcripts, and reports someone actually reads. The difference is you own the version we build, so an extra agent costs you nothing.

Ownership
Two ways to own it
Both end the same way — with software that belongs to you instead of a login you keep paying for.
Own it outright
One flat build fee. When it ships, the repositories, the accounts, and the documentation are handed to you. Run it on your own infrastructure, hand it to your own developer, change anything you want.
Own it, we run it
The same build and the same handoff, plus optional hosting, fixes, and updates so nobody on your team has to babysit it. Cancel any month you like and keep the software.
Either way, you own the code. The care plan is a convenience, never a leash.
The questions that decide it
Do we lose our numbers if we leave Dialpad?
No. Numbers are portable and they belong to you, not to the platform. We confirm eligibility with the carrier up front and schedule the port for the very end, after your team has been running on the new system in parallel.
What about the AI transcription and call summaries?
Built in, running on your own API key with the model provider — which means you see the actual usage cost instead of a per-seat tier that bundles it. It also means you can change the prompt, the model, or what gets summarised.
Can it handle inbound routing, IVR and queues?
Yes, and this is where owning tends to pay off fastest, because routing rules are the part every business does differently. We build your rules rather than approximating them inside someone else's builder.
Do we have to cancel before you start?
Please don't. Keep the subscription running through the build and through a parallel period — the overlap is a few weeks of double cost that removes essentially all of the switching risk.
How long does this take?
Weeks, because it is built with AI rather than by a team of contractors billing hourly. The estimator gives you a real range in about a minute, with no email wall in front of it.

Most businesses are renting more than one. The argument is the same every time — and so is the fix.
Kixie alternative
The one we have already shipped: a $30,000-a-year Kixie plan, replaced by a dialer the client owns.
Own it insteadAircall alternative
Cloud phone systems all price per user, per month. Yours doesn't have to be one.
Own it insteadPhoneBurner alternative
Power dialing, voicemail drops, rep leaderboards — built once, then every new rep is free.

Five questions, a real range in about 60 seconds, and nobody calls you unless you ask them to.
